Workshops
Free your creativity

My workshops cover a diverse range of techniques and a strong emphasis is placed on colour and design.
Students are encouraged to develop their own designs, to relax, enjoy, explore and succeed in combining their traditional skills, with their new found contemporary techniques.
Workshop aims
To add visual richness to textile practices by producing exciting, individual and unique textile surfaces.
To use fibre and thread as an artist uses brush and canvas.
To master the methods of combining techniques to produce exciting, individual and distinctive cloth.
Expressive Surface Treatments…Workshops on Offer:
The workshops have been especially designed for the purpose of creating tactile, vibrant, textured and patterned surfaces by hand or machine. Multiple layers of fibre and threads are built up and/or cut away to produce secondary colours, shapes and images. Extra surface embellishment is applied for added visual impact.
Textured surfaces can be incorporated into quilts, wearables, wall art and embroidery.
