Art To Wear

My art to wear is about textural form to create a visual relationship between body and cloth. The body “frame” is merely a tool to support my unstructured free form art garments. My desire is for my art to wear to be functional, visually intriguing and most importantly to give great pleasure and indulgence to both the viewer and wearer.

The availability of digital photography has offered artists an additional alternative to consider when capturing and recording images. Digital imagery combined with years of experience and training in textiles has opened alternative approaches for me to create expressive contemporary artworks by merely using simple and uncomplicated “computer moves”.

Wall Art

My contemporary wall art emphasises the combination of many diverse mediums to render a surface in preparation for layers of embroidered texture. Using the sewing machine as my art tool I revel in using fibre and thread in non-traditional ways to create my own tactile interpretive style. Forever exploring and enjoying the process of creating.
